A sphynx wanders a bleak and twisted post-apocalyptic wasteland, alone and hungry. In her quest for food, companionship and answers, she finds a lone gamayun. This creature could sate her every craving (even those she did not know she had), but will she? One has all of the questions, the other has all of the answers.

Two partners afflicted by two versions of the same illness: They have flowers growing inside and out of their bodies, irrevocably symbiotic with their organs, veins, flesh. Teshima is a perennial, and Aoyagi is an annual, meaning the latter will die come winter. Even if he will come back to the life with the first thaw, the very ordeal of seeing one’s lover pass away is painful and difficult.
